 A world leader in energy expansion and digital transformation, 

 announced today that it added 51,000 square feet and 27 additional permanent jobs to its Williamsport facility as a result of a supply and manufacturing agreement with Invenergy—America’s largest privately held independent power producer. The expanded facility will support America’s largest private sector-led transmission investment, Grain Belt Express, with its first order under the agreement to exclusively use U.S. steel and aluminum, representing a major investment in domestic energy supply chains. With the Invenergy agreement and expanded facility, Prysmian now supports almost 430+ jobs across Pennsylvania and over 270 just at the Williamsport facility and doubles U.S. manufacturing capacity for certain advanced transmission conductors.

The facility expansion is supported by a long-term supply and manufacturing agreement announced in 2023 with Invenergy. As a result, Prysmian will supply up to 12,500 miles of overhead conductors to support Invenergy’s portfolio of long-distance high-voltage direct-current (HVDC) transmission projects in the U.S., including Grain Belt Express, the largest electric transmission project in development in the U.S., and the New Mexico North Path and Cimarron Link lines.

This expansion doubles the United States’ ability to manufacture advanced transmission conductors with E3X® technology. Prysmian’s E3X® advanced conductor technology increases the capacity, efficiency, and reliability of transmission lines, allowing for more electric power to be transmitted with low losses and delivered across long distances without expanding the physical footprint of the project.

The investment also highlights Prysmian’s commitment to Pennsylvania in establishing a global center of excellence in Williamsport. As one of the largest employers in the region, the plant has 277 employees and has been continuously operating since 1965.

Grain Belt Express, an Invenergy project, is an 800-mile transmission line using state-of-the-art high-voltage direct current (HVDC) technology. It spans 4 states—Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, and Indiana—that have all approved the line as a project in the public interest. The open-access transmission line will add 5,000 megawatts of U.S. energy delivery capacity. By unlocking market efficiencies, Grain Belt Express will provide $52 billion in energy cost savings to Americans over 15 years. Grain Belt Express Phase 1, the portion of the project connecting Kansas and Missouri, is targeting commencement of construction in 2026, which is estimated to create over 4,000 jobs.

Michael Polsky, founder and CEO of independent

 power giant Invenergy, has plenty on his plate. But one priority stands out.

 The breadth of the privately held firm's assets and plans gives Polsky a wide-angle view as the U.S. faces newly rising power demand.

 Polsky called interregional transmission a tech-neutral key to unlocking and moving power needed for supporting AI and other large industries, and re-shoring manufacturing.

 In late November, the Biden-era DOE announced a conditional $4.9 billion loan guarantee for phase 1 of Invenergy's proposed five-gigawatt Grain Belt Express line from Kansas to Indiana.

"President [Trump] said we want to unleash

 American energy, we want to have abundance, low cost, independence. This is what Grain Belt is all about," Polsky said.

 Permitting help is key, but not enough, Polsky said.

 The multinational Invenergy's 209 generation and storage projects total 33 gigawatts of capacity to date, mostly in the U.S.

 Polsky warned that nixing IRA incentives could raise consumer costs for two reasons.

"Dominance has to be with multiple resources...dominance means we have got to dominate in both renewables and fossil fuels," he said.

A power titan calls transmission key to Trump's agenda

Verizon will receive clean energy credits for bringing new generation capacity online.

New 250 megawatt solar energy center joins NIPSCO’s growing portfolio

(July 9, 2025) -- Invenergy, America’s largest privately held developer, owner and operator of clean energy solutions, announced today that the 250 megawatt (MW) Fairbanks Solar Energy Center in Sullivan County, Indiana has commenced commercial operations.  

Invenergy led the development and construction of the facility which has been acquired by Northern Indiana Public Service Company (NIPSCO).  

“We’re proud to have partnered with NIPSCO and the local community to bring Fairbanks Solar online—the first of multiple Invenergy-developed projects in Sullivan County,” said Michael Kaplan, Invenergy’s Senior Vice President of Development. “Indiana is leading the energy future with a diverse mix of energy technologies - strengthening the power grid and the local economy.” 

“Projects like the Fairbanks Solar Energy Center are an important component of NIPSCO’s energy generation portfolio,” said Vince Parisi, President and Chief Operating Officer at NIPSCO. “Reliable and cost-effective power sources are essential to Indiana’s energy future.” 

Fairbanks Solar provides enough electricity to power more than 50,000 American homes and businesses and supported nearly 275 local jobs during construction. Invenergy Services provides operations, maintenance and plant services for the facility, employing four full-time staff members. The facility will also invest over $125 million in the local Sullivan County community throughout its lifespan.  

"By bringing increased investment and funding to Sullivan County, Invenergy’s projects allow us to fund county services and better serve the local community,” said Bob Davis, Sullivan County Commissioner. “I’m encouraged to see Sullivan County play a larger role in Indiana’s energy leadership.” 

Fairbanks Solar is Invenergy’s second solar facility in Indiana, and part of a robust development portfolio of clean energy solutions across 15 Indiana counties. In 

 alone, Invenergy’s projects include the Trade Post Solar Energy Center, currently under construction and anticipated to reach commercial operations in 2026, and the Sycamore Riverside Energy Center, a natural gas project currently in development. In addition, the East terminus of Grain Belt Express, the largest transmission line in U.S. history, will be located in Sullivan County.

Invenergy Announces Commercial Operations at Indiana’s Fairbanks Solar Energy Center

New agreements nearly double total procured clean energy between the companies, provide near-term energy capacity 

Invenergy, America’s largest privately held developer, owner and operator of clean energy solutions, and Meta Platforms, Inc (Nasdaq: META) today announced they have signed four additional clean energy agreements that represent an additional 791 megawatts (MW) of procured solar and wind energy. The agreements will provide near-term energy to support Meta’s operations, data center growth, and clean energy goals.  

 of Meta’s 1,000 MW of total procured energy from Invenergy. Together, these projects bring the companies’ partnership to a total of 1,800 MW, including over 740 MW of new energy generation in Ohio. The electricity from these projects will be delivered to the local grid, while Meta will receive the clean energy credits associated with the new generation capacity coming online.

Invenergy to Provide Meta with Nearly 800 MW, Supporting Data Center Operations

The 240-megawatt project will invest $230 million locally and create hundreds of construction jobs

Invenergy, North America’s largest privately held developer, owner, and operator of clean, reliable and affordable energy solutions, today announced the start of construction on the 240-megawatt Pleasant Prairie Solar Energy Center in Franklin County, Ohio.

Located in Galloway, Ohio, just outside Columbus, Pleasant Prairie Solar Energy Center represents an expected $230 million investment in Franklin County over the life of the project, through new tax revenue and lease payments. Pleasant Prairie has also partnered with Ohio State University’s Battelle Center for Science, Engineering and Public Policy to contribute to the education of the next generation of energy leaders.

Construction on the facility will continue through early 2027 when Pleasant Prairie Solar is expected to begin commercial operations.

Invenergy has partnered with Blattner, the country’s leader in renewable energy engineering, procurement and construction, on the project’s construction. Pleasant Prairie Solar is expected to create up to 300 good-paying jobs during peak construction and employ 3 permanent staff once operational.

Pleasant Prairie will be powered by American-made solar panels produced at Illuminate USA, an advanced solar panel manufacturing company majority-owned by Invenergy, located in Pataskala, Ohio. Illuminate USA panels are also being used at other Invenergy solar facilities in Ohio, including Hardin III Solar, already in operation, and Cadence Solar, currently under construction.

. The event included remarks from Invenergy’s Mick Baird, project landowner Squire Galbreath, and Brittany Rogers from Illuminate USA. A reception was held after the groundbreaking at the Darby House, located on the historical Darby Dan Farm, near the Pleasant Prairie project site.

Invenergy's Pleasant Prairie Solar Energy Center to Start Construction in Franklin County, Ohio

June 4, 2025 – Invenergy, North America’s largest privately held developer, owner, and operator of clean, affordable, and reliable energy solutions, announced today that the Hardin III Solar Energy Center (250 MW) recently commenced operations. The energy center is the third Invenergy-developed solar facility completed in Hardin County, Ohio.  

WEC Energy Group is the majority owner of Hardin III and Microsoft will purchase the electricity and renewable energy credits (RECs) generated at the facility through a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA). 

“Hardin III Solar is the culmination of a decade-long collaboration with Hardin County and the local community,” said Michael Kaplan, Senior Vice President of Development at Invenergy. “We’re proud to have worked with dedicated partners to deliver meaningful local investment and support home-grown energy here in Ohio.” 

The Hardin III Solar facility is expected to generate $180 million of new investment in Hardin County, helping to fund public schools, emergency services, and local infrastructure. During its construction, Hardin III Solar created more than 350 jobs. Under a long-term operations agreement, 

Invenergy Services provides operations, maintenance, and plant services for the facility and will employ four permanent operations and maintenance staff.  

Hardin III is powered by American-made solar panels produced by Illuminate USA, an advanced solar panel manufacturing company majority owned by Invenergy. Since 2023, Illuminate USA has produced over 9 million solar panels and created more than 1,500 good-paying jobs for Ohio.

Invenergy, North America’s largest privately held developer, owner, and operator of clean, reliable and affordable energy solutions, and the Alliance de l’énergie de l’Est, a consortium of 209 municipalities and territories in Eastern Quebec, from the Montmagny Regional County Municipality (RCM) to the Côte-de-Gaspé RCM, including the Wolastoqiyik Wahsipekuk First Nation and the Communauté maritime des Îles-de-la-Madeleine, have announced the closing of CAD 1.1 billion in financing for the Pohénégamook-Picard-Saint-Antonin-Wolastokuk 1 (PPAW 1) Wind Energy Centre.

PPAW 1 is being developed as an equal partnership between Invenergy and the Alliance de l’énergie de l’Est and was selected by Hydro-Québec in 2023 as part of a call for tenders. Construction will occur throughout 2025 and 2026, with an expected commercial operation date in late 2026. The project will create 350 jobs during construction and has led to 

 at Marmen Énergie in Matane, QC. PPAW 1 is expected to distribute $137 million to the Alliance de l’énergie de l’Est’s shareholders, namely 16 RCMs and the Wolastoqiyik Wahsipekuk First Nation, over 30 years, in addition to $45 million in fixed payments to the host communities.

Invenergy and the Alliance de l’énergie de l’Est are providing equity financing for the project. The remaining funds will be financed through bank credit facilities, primarily through Quebec and Canadian financial institutions, including the Desjardins Group, National Bank of Canada, and Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC), as well as Japan's Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation’s (SMBC) Canada Branch and Germany's KfW IPEX-Bank GmbH. The Desjardins Group functions as the Administrative Agent, the National Bank of Canada as the Documentation Agent and as Green Loan Coordinator, with the Desjardins Group, CIBC and SMBC and all banks acting as Coordinating Lead Arranger of the bank syndicate. The financing was informed by the Green Loan Principles.

Invenergy has built and operated five wind energy centres in Quebec, representing more than 390 megawatts of energy generation capacity. Once in operation, PPAW 1 will add another 350 MW to the local grid.

Quincy Solar will deliver 120 MW of clean power to Grant County

MOSES LAKE, Wash. and PORTLAND, OR. (April 15, 2025) – 

Invenergy, the largest privately held developer, owner, and operator of clean energy solutions, has signed a 20-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with the Grant County Public Utility District (Grant PUD). Beginning in 2027, 120 megawatts (MW) of clean, reliable, cost-effective power generated by the Quincy Solar Energy Center will connect directly to the local grid, energizing the equivalent of over 25,000 Washington homes per year.

Located near Moses Lake, Washington, Quincy Solar will support Grant PUD’s goal of securing 300 MW of solar power generation by 2027. Over the life of the project, Quincy Solar will contribute over $27 million to the local economy through local taxes, land costs and lease payments.
