 A world leader in energy expansion and digital transformation, 

 announced today that it added 51,000 square feet and 27 additional permanent jobs to its Williamsport facility as a result of a supply and manufacturing agreement with Invenergy—America’s largest privately held independent power producer. The expanded facility will support America’s largest private sector-led transmission investment, Grain Belt Express, with its first order under the agreement to exclusively use U.S. steel and aluminum, representing a major investment in domestic energy supply chains. With the Invenergy agreement and expanded facility, Prysmian now supports almost 430+ jobs across Pennsylvania and over 270 just at the Williamsport facility and doubles U.S. manufacturing capacity for certain advanced transmission conductors.

The facility expansion is supported by a long-term supply and manufacturing agreement announced in 2023 with Invenergy. As a result, Prysmian will supply up to 12,500 miles of overhead conductors to support Invenergy’s portfolio of long-distance high-voltage direct-current (HVDC) transmission projects in the U.S., including Grain Belt Express, the largest electric transmission project in development in the U.S., and the New Mexico North Path and Cimarron Link lines.

This expansion doubles the United States’ ability to manufacture advanced transmission conductors with E3X® technology. Prysmian’s E3X® advanced conductor technology increases the capacity, efficiency, and reliability of transmission lines, allowing for more electric power to be transmitted with low losses and delivered across long distances without expanding the physical footprint of the project.

The investment also highlights Prysmian’s commitment to Pennsylvania in establishing a global center of excellence in Williamsport. As one of the largest employers in the region, the plant has 277 employees and has been continuously operating since 1965.

Grain Belt Express, an Invenergy project, is an 800-mile transmission line using state-of-the-art high-voltage direct current (HVDC) technology. It spans 4 states—Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, and Indiana—that have all approved the line as a project in the public interest. The open-access transmission line will add 5,000 megawatts of U.S. energy delivery capacity. By unlocking market efficiencies, Grain Belt Express will provide $52 billion in energy cost savings to Americans over 15 years. Grain Belt Express Phase 1, the portion of the project connecting Kansas and Missouri, is targeting commencement of construction in 2026, which is estimated to create over 4,000 jobs.

Michael Polsky, founder and CEO of independent

 power giant Invenergy, has plenty on his plate. But one priority stands out.

 The breadth of the privately held firm's assets and plans gives Polsky a wide-angle view as the U.S. faces newly rising power demand.

 Polsky called interregional transmission a tech-neutral key to unlocking and moving power needed for supporting AI and other large industries, and re-shoring manufacturing.

 In late November, the Biden-era DOE announced a conditional $4.9 billion loan guarantee for phase 1 of Invenergy's proposed five-gigawatt Grain Belt Express line from Kansas to Indiana.

"President [Trump] said we want to unleash

 American energy, we want to have abundance, low cost, independence. This is what Grain Belt is all about," Polsky said.

 Permitting help is key, but not enough, Polsky said.

 The multinational Invenergy's 209 generation and storage projects total 33 gigawatts of capacity to date, mostly in the U.S.

 Polsky warned that nixing IRA incentives could raise consumer costs for two reasons.

"Dominance has to be with multiple resources...dominance means we have got to dominate in both renewables and fossil fuels," he said.

A power titan calls transmission key to Trump's agenda

The latest VPPAs are contracted through four Invenergy-developed facilities strategically located across the United States, including Arkansas, Illinois, Maryland, and Ohio: 

The electricity generated by all four Invenergy-developed projects will be delivered to local grids through two energy markets across four states, increasing regional reliability by providing power to nearby homes and businesses. Verizon will receive clean energy credits for bringing new generation capacity online.

SRP and Invenergy Announce First Agreement on Solar and Storage Project to Help Meet Valley Energy Demand

Salt River Project (SRP), a not-for-profit public power utility serving the greater Phoenix metropolitan area, and Invenergy, North America’s largest privately held independent power producer and energy infrastructure developer, today announced an agreement to add 200 megawatts (MW) of solar energy and 200 MW of 4-hour battery storage to the Valley’s grid. This agreement marks the first partnership between SRP and Invenergy.

Located in Pinal County, the SunDog Energy Center will provide enough capacity to power up to 45,000 Valley homes. SRP is working to more than double the capacity of its power system in the next 10 years to meet increasing energy demand in the Phoenix metropolitan area. Drawing from a variety of energy technologies, Invenergy’s projects are helping the state meet that growing demand.

“Adding solar and storage resources is part of SRP’s all-of-the-above strategy to meet our customer’s growing energy needs with reliable, affordable and sustainable power,” 

said Bobby Olsen, SRP Associate General Manager and Chief Power System Executive. 

“We look forward to working with Invenergy to bring the benefits of the SunDog Energy Center to our customers and the community.”

SRP has more than 3,000 MW of carbon-free resources currently serving its customers, including 1,455 MW of solar and more than 1,100 MW of battery storage supporting its grid. SRP also has significantly more solar energy and storage capacity under development.

“From the start, SRP has been clear about what it needs to serve its customers, and we’re able to bring the right energy mix as they plan for growth,”

 said Ted Romaine, Invenergy’s Executive Vice President for Origination.

 “As energy demand continues to grow in Arizona and across the country, hybrid projects like SunDog help strengthen the grid and give utility customers reliable, affordable energy solutions they can trust.”

SunDog will be Invenergy’s 17th facility in Arizona, and first operational site in Pinal County. The project is expected to bring significant economic benefits to Pinal County. These include more than $209 million in local tax revenue, land costs and lease payments. The project will also support anywhere between 200 and 400 jobs during peak construction. 

Invenergy has been an active member of Pinal County since 2018, supporting organizations and initiatives including the United Way of Pinal County, Pinal Partnership and the Local Emergency Planning Committee. 

Statewide, Invenergy’s portfolio of operational and under construction facilities totals 545 MW of solar power and 736 MW of energy storage to the Arizona grid, helping ensure Arizonans have reliable electricity when they need it most. Invenergy’s projects invest over $2.2 million into Arizona communities every year.

New pipeline to help Invenergy meet skyrocketing power demand across Arizona

 -- Invenergy, North America’s largest privately held independent power producer and energy infrastructure innovator, today announced it has signed a precedent agreement with a subsidiary of Tallgrass to be the anchor shipper on the associated natural gas infrastructure to support Invenergy’s plans to develop as many as three new natural gas-fired power plants in Arizona’s Maricopa and Yuma Counties.

“For 25 years—including 10 in Arizona—Invenergy has partnered with communities to deliver a mix of energy solutions and shared value for the local economy. As electricity demand grows, it's even more clear that natural gas is critical to keeping energy affordable and reliable, and our agreement with Tallgrass to procure long-term gas supply is proof of our commitment to Arizona, our customers, and the local communities we support,”

 said Daniel Runyan, Invenergy’s Senior Vice President for Development. 

Electricity demand in Arizona is set to grow more than 40 percent by 2031 due to population growth, new manufacturing, data centers, electrification and artificial intelligence. Natural gas will play a vital role in meeting that demand, but the state currently faces supply constraints caused by limited interstate pipeline capacity.

Invenergy Signs Agreement with Tallgrass for Long-Term Gas Supply

New 250 megawatt solar energy center joins NIPSCO’s growing portfolio

(July 9, 2025) -- Invenergy, America’s largest privately held developer, owner and operator of clean energy solutions, announced today that the 250 megawatt (MW) Fairbanks Solar Energy Center in Sullivan County, Indiana has commenced commercial operations.  

Invenergy led the development and construction of the facility which has been acquired by Northern Indiana Public Service Company (NIPSCO).  

“We’re proud to have partnered with NIPSCO and the local community to bring Fairbanks Solar online—the first of multiple Invenergy-developed projects in Sullivan County,” said Michael Kaplan, Invenergy’s Senior Vice President of Development. “Indiana is leading the energy future with a diverse mix of energy technologies - strengthening the power grid and the local economy.” 

“Projects like the Fairbanks Solar Energy Center are an important component of NIPSCO’s energy generation portfolio,” said Vince Parisi, President and Chief Operating Officer at NIPSCO. “Reliable and cost-effective power sources are essential to Indiana’s energy future.” 

Fairbanks Solar provides enough electricity to power more than 50,000 American homes and businesses and supported nearly 275 local jobs during construction. Invenergy Services provides operations, maintenance and plant services for the facility, employing four full-time staff members. The facility will also invest over $125 million in the local Sullivan County community throughout its lifespan.

Fairbanks Solar is Invenergy’s second solar facility in Indiana, and part of a robust development portfolio of clean energy solutions across 15 Indiana counties. In 

 alone, Invenergy’s projects include the Trade Post Solar Energy Center, currently under construction and anticipated to reach commercial operations in 2026, and the Sycamore Riverside Energy Center, a natural gas project currently in development. In addition, the East terminus of Grain Belt Express, the largest transmission line in U.S. history, will be located in Sullivan County.

Invenergy Announces Commercial Operations at Indiana’s Fairbanks Solar Energy Center

New agreements nearly double total procured clean energy between the companies, provide near-term energy capacity 

Invenergy, America’s largest privately held developer, owner and operator of clean energy solutions, and Meta Platforms, Inc (Nasdaq: META) today announced they have signed four additional clean energy agreements that represent an additional 791 megawatts (MW) of procured solar and wind energy. The agreements will provide near-term energy to support Meta’s operations, data center growth, and clean energy goals.  

 of Meta’s 1,000 MW of total procured energy from Invenergy. Together, these projects bring the companies’ partnership to a total of 1,800 MW, including over 740 MW of new energy generation in Ohio. The electricity from these projects will be delivered to the local grid, while Meta will receive the clean energy credits associated with the new generation capacity coming online.

The agreements are contracted through four Invenergy-developed facilities strategically located across the U.S. to meet soaring energy demand with domestically produced electricity. These energy centers include:

Invenergy to Provide Meta with Nearly 800 MW, Supporting Data Center Operations

The 240-megawatt project will invest $230 million locally and create hundreds of construction jobs

Invenergy, North America’s largest privately held developer, owner, and operator of clean, reliable and affordable energy solutions, today announced the start of construction on the 240-megawatt Pleasant Prairie Solar Energy Center in Franklin County, Ohio.

Located in Galloway, Ohio, just outside Columbus, Pleasant Prairie Solar Energy Center represents an expected $230 million investment in Franklin County over the life of the project, through new tax revenue and lease payments. Pleasant Prairie has also partnered with Ohio State University’s Battelle Center for Science, Engineering and Public Policy to contribute to the education of the next generation of energy leaders.

Construction on the facility will continue through early 2027 when Pleasant Prairie Solar is expected to begin commercial operations.

Invenergy has partnered with Blattner, the country’s leader in renewable energy engineering, procurement and construction, on the project’s construction. Pleasant Prairie Solar is expected to create up to 300 good-paying jobs during peak construction and employ 3 permanent staff once operational.

Pleasant Prairie will be powered by American-made solar panels produced at Illuminate USA, an advanced solar panel manufacturing company majority-owned by Invenergy, located in Pataskala, Ohio. Illuminate USA panels are also being used at other Invenergy solar facilities in Ohio, including Hardin III Solar, already in operation, and Cadence Solar, currently under construction.

“We are excited to break ground on the Pleasant Prairie Solar Energy Center,” said Mick Baird, Chief Development Officer at Invenergy. “Pleasant Prairie represents our commitment, along with project landowners and our partners in Franklin County, the Pleasant and Prairie Townships, Illuminate USA, and Blattner, to meet growing demand with domestic energy and strengthen U.S. energy independence.”
